The client is a global holding company that owns and operates the manufacturers behind critical data center infrastructure. From cooling systems and computer room air handlers to power management equipment and switchgear. Their end customers include the world’s largest hyperscalers and major colocation providers driving the buildout of AI infrastructure.
Star Logistics solicited the relationship and went through a rigorous, 9-month vetting process. The client onboarded approximately 80 carriers and brokers, narrowed the field to 50 through interviews, then required finalists to present a white paper in response to a case study-style brief. Star Logistics was one of three providers selected.
The differentiator that won the business: cross-border open deck capability in Mexico. The client’s two largest manufacturing facilities are in northern Mexico, and they were struggling to find capacity that could handle oversized, specialized freight across the border at the pace their growth demanded.
