Covenant Logistics announced that its Forest Park, Georgia, distribution center has achieved active Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) status. The Atlanta-area FTZ warehouse gives importers and exporters a strategically located option to improve cash flow, manage duty exposure and increase supply chain flexibility.
The 401,242-square-foot Forest Park distribution center currently has up to 175,000 square feet available for occupancy. Located near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and major interstate and rail connections, the facility combines FTZ-enabled warehouse space with access to Covenant’s transportation and distribution network.

The FTZ activation expands Covenant’s distribution center management and warehousing capabilities for businesses managing imported goods. The activated facility operates under U.S. Customs and Border Protection oversight and may enable qualified customers to defer, reduce or eliminate certain duties until goods enter U.S. commerce.
“Throughout the very dynamic trade environment over the last year and a half, we saw that we had a need to manage our imports and exports better,” said Emmet McNair, Director of Onboard Service Materials and Logistics at Delta Airlines. “Covenant was able to set up a Foreign-Trade Zone solution for us that helps mitigate import risk and enables us to use our inventory more efficiently.”
