Chattanooga, TN [November 12, 2025] — Covenant Logistics, a leading provider of transportation and distribution center management, has been recognized with a 2026 Military Friendly® Award in the $1 Billion to $5 Billion category. This designation underscores the company’s continued commitment to supporting U.S. service members, veterans, and military families through hiring, career development, and community engagement.

The Military Friendly® Awards honor organizations that demonstrate an exceptional culture of service, professional advancement, and long-term support for military-connected employees. Recognitions are based on a comprehensive evaluation of employer programs, community investment, and measurable outcomes for veterans and their families.

“Service is a guiding force at Covenant,” said Joey Ballard, Chief People & Safety Officer. “We’re honored to receive this prestigious recognition, which reflects our ongoing commitment to providing meaningful opportunities for veterans and military families as they transition into civilian careers.”

Covenant continues to partner with national organizations and credentialing programs to help service members grow their civilian careers and build long-term success in the logistics industry. These initiatives reinforce Covenant’s focus on purpose-driven support and long-term growth for military-connected individuals.

Key programs include:

Operation Victory — A Covenant program that recognizes and credits military experience for pay tier placement.

Troops into Transportation — A national workforce initiative partnering with 10 military bases across the United States to help service members earn their Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) using GI Bill benefits, creating a direct pathway into logistics roles.

Military Placement at Covenant (MPACT) — A VA-approved on-the-job training program that allows eligible veterans to apply their GI Bill benefits while gaining operational experience within Covenant’s network.

Partnership for Your Success (PaYS) — A U.S. Army initiative that connects service members transitioning from active duty into meaningful civilian employment opportunities through guaranteed interview pathways.

Department of Defense SkillBridge (Pending Approval) — Covenant has submitted its application to provide SkillBridge opportunities that allow transitioning service members to gain hands-on civilian experience during the final 180 days of their service commitment.

Through these programs, Covenant seeks to support service members at key transition points—whether they are obtaining CDL credentials, refining operational skill sets, learning the logistics industry, or beginning a new civilian career path.

“At Covenant, we believe the qualities that define great service members—discipline, teamwork, commitment—also define great logistics professionals,” Ballard continued. “We’re proud to help create a workplace where military talent can thrive.”
